Condor was chosen as a central site for several schools.  The Prairie Rose School (SD 1670) had been dismantled and rebuilt in Condor.  After a second room was added on the north side of that building in 1938 the school district was changed to CONDOR (SD 1670.)   Three acres were added to the property in 1951 and a new two- room school was reconstructed.  In 1954 SHADY LANE  (SD 2805) school was constructed and students were relocated to that as well.  A new 4-room cinder block school was opened in 1957.
