SD 2166
1921 - 1962

NE 22 - 39 - 7 - W5

(corner 50 Ave and 48 St, Rocky Mountain House, AB)

This four room school, housing grades one to twelve, was built on the site currently occupied by Ecole Rocky Elementary. In 1949 the West Wing opened containing six classrooms, a science lab, and a library.  A few years later six more classrooms and a Home Economics Lab were added.  In 1962 teachers and older students moved to the new high school.  The original building was detached and moved to the south-east corner of the property where it housed the Rocky School Division Office and later the town’s museum.  It was demolished in 2005.
